Volunteer Gathering

Volunteer Gathering

We’re gathering on Saturday, April 22, from 2-4 PM at the Downtown Sioux Falls Library at 200 N. Dakota Avenue, Sioux Falls.

This is a fun social event where we’ll have some demonstrations of things we do, a bit of garb to try (not for sale), some very short presentations, and time to visit with people you see at the Festival. Join us, bring your family, bring friends who might be interested, and come to have fun! Free!

Do you miss your Festival friends? Do you have someone who might be interested in becoming a volunteer or even just attending the Siouxland Renaissance Festival? We invite you to join us and get involved!

Did you know:

~ We are a 100% volunteer organization.

~ We offer support to schools and organizations that would like programming. We’d be glad to include you in our outreach team, always being sure you’re available for any particular event.

~ Our volunteers participate in other events throughout the year! We participate in activities from parades, to pouring beer for other organizations, helping SF Park Department with their Princess in the Park parties, and educational events. All events are at the choice and availability of the volunteer.

~ We enjoy getting together to “invade” restaurants, movies, or other events in garb to have a chance to be together to encourage interaction and conversation about the Renaissance.

2023 Winter Feast Fundraiser & Silent Auction

oin us for our annual Winter Feast Fundraiser and Silent Auction event on Saturday, February 11th, 2023.

Come join us for an evening of Carnivale. Carnivale is celebrated throughout Europe and around the world! Enjoy the fun and excitement of a celebration as we count down the days until Spring. Participate in a traditional piazza party with friends, food, drink and entertainment.

Joining us is Cirka Performance Arts, a premiere aerial silks performance group based in Sioux Falls. They provide entertainment like we've never seen before in our area. Their performances provide a taste of Cirque du Soleil with their own unique flair. Using a 10.5-foot-high aerial apparatus and free-standing lollipop hoops their acrobatics are sure to delight.

Also adding to our Venice Carnevale is our very own Lighting Juggler, Ryan McCormick. Combining juggling and humor, his performances always create a party atmosphere, magic tricks included.

So put on your sparkly clothes, grab your favorite Mardi Gras mask and add a splash of brightness to the gloomy, chilly winter months.

Enjoy an evening of fun, food and frivolity for adults including food, entertainment, silent auction items, games and more for pirates, lords and ladies, Vikings, merchants, and peasants alike.
